Terms of Use
Effective Sept. 25, 2026.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the provider of the Dubl app and website (together, the "Service"). They also serve as the end-user licence agreement for the app.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by Individual Entrepreneur Dmitrii Chikovinskii (OGRNIP 314385018300179, TIN 380471193017), Russian Federation ("we", "us"). Contact: support@dubl-app.com.
2. Accepting these Terms
You accept these Terms by ticking the box when you sign in. By doing so you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity. If you do not agree, do not sign in or use the Service.
3. The Service
Dubl helps you edit video from footage you shot: it splits the recording into takes, transcribes speech and assembles a video from it. Part of this work is done by automated processing, including third-party speech-recognition and data-processing services.
We decide which features the Service offers, how they look and which sign-in methods are available, and we may add, change, limit or discontinue features at any time.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping access to your device and sign-in account secure. Actions taken through your account are treated as yours;
- You may not share access to your account;
- You may not create multiple accounts to obtain bonuses, gifts or discounts more than once. We may merge or block such accounts and cancel the bonuses obtained.
5. Your content
- You keep all rights to the videos, audio and finished edits you upload or create. We do not use your content to train models, in advertising or to promote the Service without your separate consent;
- So that the Service can work, you grant us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, process and adapt (edit, transcribe, crop, caption and style) your content, to share it with service providers that help us run the Service, and to deliver the result to you — only as needed to provide the Service and for as long as the content is stored in it;
- By uploading content you confirm that you have all rights needed to do so, and that every person whose image, voice or other personal data appears in it has given any consent required by law. You are responsible for the lawful processing of their personal data in your content;
- To the extent permitted by law, you will handle and cover any third-party claims arising from your content or your use of the Service.
6. What you may not do
- upload or create content that infringes others' rights, including copyright, image and privacy rights, or that is unlawful;
- upload content showing minors without the consent of their parents or guardians;
- impersonate anyone or create content that misleads people about who said what, without the consent of the person shown;
- use the Service for spam, fraud or other unlawful activity;
- access other people's accounts or content, or bypass limits and security measures;
- access the Service by automated means, scrape it, or load it beyond normal use;
- reverse-engineer, modify or redistribute the Service, or use it or its output to build a competing product or train models, except where the law expressly allows.
When you publish a finished video, you are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to it, including any requirement to label advertising or AI-generated content.
7. Automated output
Transcripts, captions, take selection and edit plans are produced automatically. By their nature they may contain mistakes — speech recognition mishears words, automated selection may misread a line. The Service shows you intermediate results so that you can check and correct them. You decide what to publish and are responsible for it.
8. Availability and liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We aim to keep it running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation;
- The Service depends on third-party providers, networks and hosting. Their unavailability, sanctions or measures of any government may make the Service or part of it unavailable, and such events are beyond our control;
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of content stored only in the Service. Keep your original footage. The Service is an editing tool, not an archive;
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, or affects rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
9. Suspension and account deletion
- We may restrict or suspend access, remove content and block an account if these Terms or the law are breached, on a lawful request of authorities, or where needed to protect the Service and other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you why;
- You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app: Account → Delete account. If you cannot sign in, write to support@dubl-app.com;
- Deletion is permanent. Save any videos you need beforehand. See the Privacy Policy for how data is deleted.
10. Our rights in the Service
We own the Service — its code, design, video styles, name and marks. We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service on devices you own or control, for personal and professional purposes, within these Terms.
11. App stores
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple Inc. or Google LLC. We are responsible for the Service and its support;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you;
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", are not on any sanctions or restricted-party list that prevents us from providing the Service to you, and will not use the Service in breach of applicable sanctions.
12. Messages from us
We may send you service messages — about how the Service works, changes to these documents and account security — in the app, as notifications and to the contact details in your account. We send marketing only with your separate consent.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, the law, security or our business. We publish the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 10 days before it takes effect and ask you to accept the new version when you sign in; other changes take effect when published. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account. By continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside, if that law applies to you as a consumer. Please contact support@dubl-app.com first — most issues are resolved that way. Disputes are decided by the courts of the Russian Federation, unless mandatory law allows you, as a consumer, to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remain in force. If we do not enforce a provision right away, we may still do so later. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about free use of the Service.
